2011 Event Day: Winners

What a brilliant day! Beetles, buses, Karmann Ghias, dune buggies, and more took over Governors Island to packed crowds on August 13, 2011. Great energy all around. Spectator's Choice Winners: 2011

1st: For the second year, Nasir Shaikh's decorated 1960 turquoise bug from Ontario, Canada, scored big with spectators.

2nd: Eric Moynier's shiny black 1955 beetle—the oldest car at the show—took second.

3rd: Karmann Ghias entered the show this year for the first time, and one of them—Stephen Deleo and Kirsten Logan's sleek jet black Ghia—placed third.

Honorable Mention: Ariel Shelmetty's pristine white beetle ragtop, a 1960, was one vote shy of 3rd place.
